Our old school blend of tropical bay tree leaves and Jamaican rum is the stuff of legend: it's one of the original scents of wet shaving. And Bay Rum Shave Soap is one of the first products we introduced to honor our namesake, Colonel Ichabod Conk.
The Bay Rum scent accompanies a rich, thick lather that promotes that smooth, sure glide while you're shaving. Added avocado and vitamin-e help nourish the skin.

….not spectacular lather, but a good, decent lather. Has a creamy texture and lubricates the skin nicely.
This part is subjective, but this doesn’t smell like Bay Rum at all. No bay aroma, no cloves, just a weak, indeterminate smell. Bay rums vary wildly from manufacturer to manufacturer, but this just misses all the notes I was expecting.
I wouldn’t buy it again, but the almond soap from the same manufacturer is quite worthwhile.
